Who we are
Welcome to Wild Run Nigerians—where the land runs deep, the goats run strong, and the passion runs wild.
We’re a mother-son team working side-by-side on our small but growing farm in Minot, Maine, where our pastures stretch along the quiet banks of Lapham Brook. Founded in 2023, Wild Run began with a simple idea: that with hard work, heart, and a clear vision, we could build something meaningful from the ground up. And that’s exactly what we’re doing—one goat, one step, and one season at a time.
We raise Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats with a focus on performance-level quality, breeding for structure, strength, dairy capability, and long-term soundness. While we’re still early in our breeding journey, we’re committed to doing it right—by learning from respected programs, building on proven genetics, and always striving to improve. We're particularly passionate about dairy strength and udder quality, aiming for animals that are both beautiful and productive in the milk pail. Our goal is a herd that holds up not just in the show ring, but in the milking stand—where form meets function.
At the heart of everything we do is care. Every animal here is raised with daily hands-on attention, deep respect, and a whole lot of love. We believe that great goats start with great stewardship—and that means patience, honesty, and a connection to both our animals and our land.
Wild Run Nigerians is more than a farm—it’s our family’s promise to grow something lasting. It’s about returning to the land, partnering with nature, and building a herd with purpose, one strong doe at a time.
Thanks for being part of our journey. We’re just getting started—but we’re running full speed toward better.
We acknowledge that we are in Minot, Maine, the traditional and unceded territory of the N'dakina People, Wabanaki/Dawnland Confederacy. We honor this land and elders, both past and present as we seek to grow in our understanding as custodians of their ancestral home from time immemorial.
